In collaboration with the Rhine-Main Universities (RMU), FILMZ is launching another open-air cinema on campus in 2026 - the “Container Cinema.” Until 2 July, the Container Cinema will be held at the eponymous RMU container on the campus forecourt, where - in typical FILMZ fashion - it will feature both well-known audience favorites and open up new perspectives with true cinematic gems.

Starting at 8 p.m. each night, you can stock up on cold drinks and popcorn before the films begin at sunset. Comfortable lounge chairs and several benches are available on the lawn in front of the RMU container; however, the best way to enjoy the cinema experience is probably on a picnic blanket you bring yourself.

All films are shown in their original language with German subtitles (where possible). Admission is always free and the program is open to everyone, but reservations are not possible - it’s worth arriving early!
