RMU Weeks of Equal Opportunities 2026
From 27 October to 6 November, the Equal Opportunity Offices at Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Technical University of Darmstadt will be hosting this year’s RMU Weeks of Equal Opportunities for research associations.
The digital event series will start at 1:00 p.m. on 27 October with a keynote by Dr. Eva Gengler, "Künstliche Intelligenz – Eine Frage der Macht. Eine intersektional-feministische Perspektive auf KI, Chancengleichheit und Wissenschaft." (Artificial Intelligence - a question of power. An intersectional-feminist perspective on AI, equal opportunities and academia). After the keynote, participants will have the chance to discuss the challenges and opportunities resulting from an increased use of AI in science and research.
Topics such as defending democracy and freedom of science, neurodiverse academia, co-creating gender knowledge or reconcilability of academia and every-day family life will be discussed in interactive lectures. There will also be additional offers for doctoral students on how to boost your self-confidence and how to speak out against abuses of power.
The digital events will offer room for discussion, reflexion and networking on the topic of how to foster an academic culture that promotes equal opportunity and is sensitive to diversity.
You can find the event links in the program under "Downloads" and in our event calendar. Please note that the offers for postdoctoral students require prior registration.
