The Energy Trail of the NaT-Lab for pupils consists of 16 objects for independent experimentation. At the individual stations, the focus is on illustrating energy conversions. The topics of the stations are: Determination of combustion heat, power of a heat engine (steam engine), power generation with a heat engine (Stirling engine), solar energy, wind power, fuel cell (electrochemical power generation) and hydropower. Other stations deal with ergometry (bicycle ergometer), energy use (gas burner, heating plate, immersion heater, microwave), storage of energy (accumulators), chemical energy (determination of the energy of chemical reactions), passive house, radioactivity, sound energy, thermoelectricity and light energy. Since 2015, the Energy Trail has been on permanent loan to the TH Bingen.
