Rhein-Main Universitäten (RMU)

The Herbarium of the Institute of Organismic and Molecular Evolution Biology of Mainz University was founded in 1964 by Dr. Ulrich Hecker, curator of the University's Botanic Garden at that time. It comprises about 65,000 objects: Herbal references, a collection of freeze-dried fungi, a collection of fruits and seeds as well as an extensive collection of stamps with plant motives.
