The collection consists of nearly 30 medals and plaquettes from TU Darmstadt and its predecessor institutions. It includes jubilee medals, sports medals and plaquettes, medals of honor and merit, and portrait plaquettes. The collection is complemented by hallmarks and dies as well as other items of the University Archive (p.e. rector's chains).
