The video provides detailed information about all phases of the appointment procedure for professorships (focus Germany) and gives specific assistance and tips for applications.
The video first deals with the procedure and the formal aspects of the appointment process. Then all the necessary application documents (especially CV, cover letter, research and teaching concept) are discussed in detail and partly illustrated in part with sample materials. In the third part, the expectations and requirements in the hearing with the appointment committee as well as important preparation steps are discussed. You will receive tips and short demonstrations on how to structure your scientific presentation and teaching demonstration. In addition, the most frequently asked questions and topics in the committee interview are presented.
The video will be available for streaming (password protected) and the associated materials (handout, sample CVs, interview question list) will be available for download. The video has a total length of 3,75 hours. The speed of the video can be adjusted upwards in the video settings. Video chapters can be selected according to interest.

This course focuses on topics such as dimensions of science communication, the interplay of actors and target groups or dealing with the media. The learning units are modular. The content is varied and includes animations and videos. The e-learning can be accessed online at any time and can be flexibly integrated into everyday professional and study life.
