At the RMU, we understand excellent careers in the context of the broader living environment. Choosing a new professional setting is not only an individual career decision — it is also a decision that affects partners, families, and long-term life perspectives.

To attract and retain outstanding researchers and leaders, more than attractive working conditions are required. It takes a supportive regional environment that opens up opportunities and offers stability. In this sense, we view dual career support as a shared responsibility of our universities and work closely with regional partners from academia, industry, and public institutions.

Through DCS@RMU, we support the professional development of accompanying partners and facilitate their integration into the region. Together with our Family Services and Welcome Centers, we provide comprehensive support and accompany the onboarding of newly appointed professors and leaders, as well as the social integration of their families at the new location.

For us, dual career support is not an additional service — it is an expression of our identity as the Rhine-Main Universities: academic excellence, social responsibility toward our employees and their families, and strong regional cooperation are inseparable.
