Exchange
RMU as a driver of interaction
Across disciplines, RMU addresses forward-looking research questions and applies its knowledge and innovative technologies beyond the Rhine-Main region. The reciprocal and enriching exchange between researchers and stakeholders from business, society, culture, and politics plays a pioneering role in this process.
To facilitate exchange between these stakeholders and researchers, we organize events and dialogue formats. In order to further expand and continuously enhance these activities in terms of quality, researchers receive advice and training in the areas of science communication and open science.
RMU implements joint knowledge-transfer projects and provides coordinated support for academic spin-offs to strengthen the Rhine-Main area as an innovative start-up region. To this end, it co-founded Futury – The Future Factory, which is among the Startup Factories funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The expansion of this regional start-up ecosystem is further supported by the RMU Startup Academy, which complements the services of the three universities’ entrepreneurship centers with a comprehensive range of advisory services and numerous online courses for start-up teams.
