State-of-the-art research equipment is key to excellent science – but operating it requires specialized expertise and considerable investment. The Rhine-Main Universities (RMU) are therefore pooling their high-performance core facilities to give you as RMU researchers access to cutting-edge, professionally managed infrastructure.

Core facilities support you as RMU scientists in equipment-intensive cutting-edge research and at the same time promote the efficient sharing of resources. Coordinated investments and complementary orientations create synergies in quality, cost efficiency, and scientific impact.

At the three locations, the core facilities are being further developed through local initiatives – Go4Tec at Goethe University Frankfurt, core4u at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and TUInfra at TU Darmstadt. The RMU networks these structures across the board, strengthens exchange, and creates common standards for access and operation.
