Description

This event is part of the RMU Postdoc Career Weeks 2026

What competencies do you bring with you – and what can you make of them? Whether you are just starting your PhD, preparing for your postdoc phase, or you are already thinking about your next career step: one thing is certain – you have more to offer than you may currently realize. At every stage of your academic qualification, it can be helpful to know and further develop your own competence profile.

In our interactive competencies workshop, we will jointly examine your subject-specific and key competencies. Using the European competency assessment tool ResearchComp, specifically developed for researchers, you can explore how to professionally capture, reflect on, and strategically further develop your personal competency profile. Discover how you can “translate” your existing competencies and transfer them into new application areas, for instance, beyond academia. Because your strengths are not only valuable, they are your key to the next stage, no matter where it may lead you.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about application scenarios for competency profiles
  • Work with a research-oriented competency assessment tool (ResearchComp)
  • Learn pathways for competence development

Trainers:
