The Collection of Indology came into possession of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in November 2000 as a donation from the estate of Ursula Walter. It comprises approximately 250 artifacts, including bronze figures, wood carvings, and jewelry from India, Southeast Asia, and East Asia. These also include Hindu and Buddhist deities as well as mythological figures.
