The Manuscripts and Incunabula Collection manages numerous medieval, modern, Hebrew, Slavic, Arabic, Ethopian, Persian and Turkish manuscripts, estates from the 16th to 20th centuries, particularly those related to Frankfurt, a large collection of autographs, and an extensive collection of incunabula and post-incunabula. The holdings are cataloged and digitized to make them accessible to users, preserved in their original form through restoration measures, and supplemented as appropriate by occasional acquisitions.
