The collection comprises approximately 2,000 items, with a focus on clothing fashion, including club and streetwear, casuals, and "harsh" styles (punk, gothic, EMO, black metal); sneakers, shoes, T-shirts/sweatshirts/hoodies, shirts, pants, dresses/skirts and jackets. These are complemented by accessories with skull motifs, bracelets, belts, accessories from the 1980s scene, smartphone accessories, cans of special club/energy drinks, print media, videos, vinyl records, and flyers. The collection is exemplary in nature and, in addition to being available for on-site research by students and researchers, can also be used as a mobile collection: Objects have been and continue to be loaned to the respective museums and institutions on request for exhibitions.

The aim is to preserve a cross-section of the rapidly changing product worlds of youth cultures, to which certain common symbols and forms of the scene can be attached.
