On 9 February 2026, the rhine-main neuroscience network (rmn²) is holding its annual lecture series. The 8th rmn2 lecture takes place at Technical University of Darmstadt.
This year’s guest speaker is Prof. Dr. Rainer Goebel from Maastricht University with his lecture „Rekonstruktion Mentaler Bilder und Emotionen mit 7 Tesla fMRT – Von der Grundlagenforschung zur Neurofeedback-Behandlung der Depression”.
The event will be opened by the current rmn2 spokesperson, Prof. Dr. Susann Schweiger, University Hospital Mainz, the host is Prof. Dr. Ralf Galuske from the Department of Biology at TU Darmstadt.

The rhine-main neuroscience network (rmn²) is a strong alliance of brain researchers in the Rhine-Main metropolitan region with international visibility. Its members are the Rhine-Main Universities Goethe University Frankfurt with the Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience (INCF), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with the Focus Program Translational Neurosciences (FTN) and Technical University of Darmstadt, as well as the Institute for Molecular Biology and the the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research in Mainz, the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, the Ernst Strüngmann Institute and the Max Planck Institutes for Brain Research and Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt.
