The Rhine-Main Universities alliance (RMU) invites students to enjoy a free waffle! On 10 February 2026, from 1:15 pm and as long as supplies last, students can collect freshly backed Belgian waffles at Zentralmensa of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. 

Prof. Dr. Georg Krausch, the President of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and Vice President Stephan Jolie will be on-site to distribute the delicious baked goods in person and will hand out waffles for free upon presentation of a student ID.

There will also be a booth with information on the RMU Study Program where students can speak to experts and ask them everything they want to know about the three partner universities’ joint study offer.
