Description
Description:
The high level of complexity and division of labor at universities repeatedly leads to existing knowledge being lost and synergies within the institution remaining untapped. The handover to successors or deputies is often accompanied by a loss of knowledge and skills. And this effect is further exacerbated by fixed-term employment contracts. Despite all its pitfalls, knowledge management offers the opportunity to identify, secure, and transfer relevant knowledge.
