Description

This event is part of the RMU Postdoc Career Weeks 2026

The professorship at a university of applied sciences offers many advantages: flexibility and freedom in research and teaching, work in small learning groups, the chance to shape students’ career paths and societal knowledge transfer, as well as a good work‑life balance. But how does one become a professor at a UAS? What are the admission requirements and where can the necessary qualifications be obtained?

We will address these and other questions in our workshop: together with professors from the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences we will show how varied the routes to a UAS professorship are and why it is worth taking this step.

  • Interview with two professors from Frankfurt UAS
  • Open Q&A session
