Mental health and resilience are central prerequisites for personal well-being and sustainable success – especially in the demanding and often uncertain world of research and science.
Early Career Researchers frequently face diverse challenges: high performance pressure, fixed-term contracts, competitive environments, and the need to balance professional and personal demands. It is therefore all the more important to develop strategies that help manage stress constructively and strengthen one’s psychological resilience.
Content:
- Introduction to key concepts of mental health and resilience
- Analysis of individual stress factors in the scientific context
- Identification of personal resources
- Methods and exercises for nervous system regulation and emotional stabilization
Objectives:
- You will gain an overview of approaches to strengthening mental health, resilience, and well-being in daily scientific life.
- You will develop individual strategies for stress management and self-care.
- You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with other ECRs in a trusting environment.
Trainer:
Tanja Bartholomes is a trainer in personnel development at JGU. She is a certified trainer, systemic coach, coach for neurosystemic integration, and nature-mental trainer.
Target group: Early Career Researchers (R1, R2, R3) from TU Darmstadt, JGU Mainz and GU Frankfurt.
