The expert discussion will begin with three keynote presentations that will examine the current state of affairs and challenges surrounding children’s and youth participation in democracy. The speakers will be Prof. Dr. Tanja Betz (Educational Science, JGU Mainz), Dr. Andreas Busen (Political Science, University of Hamburg), and Prof. Dr. Friederike Wapler (Law, JGU Mainz).

In the second part, these insights will be explored in greater depth during a panel discussion with (young) representatives from various policy areas, particularly education, child and youth policy, migration, finance, and local government.
