The module gives a general introdution to open access publishing. The different models or "paths" of Open Access are detailed, as well as the advantages of Open Access in regard to visibility and impact of research publications. An overview of the current state of OA publishing and the policies of funding institutions enables participants to integrate open access strategies into their funding applications and general scholarly practice.

Workshop Series Winter Semester 2026/27

This workshop series introduces key areas of digital research, including Research Data Management, Digital Humanities, Open Access, and Open Science. It focuses on digital methods, AI-supported research, and Open-Access publishing. Workshops are held either in English or German language, as indicated in the programme.
