Description
This workshop series provides a structured introduction to key domains of contemporary digital research practice: Research Data Management (RDM), Digital Humanities (DH), Open Access (OA), and Open Science. The series is structured along the research lifecycle and combines perspectives from data management, scholarly publishing, and digital humanities. It brings together introductory sessions and selected thematic deep dives that address both methodological and normative dimensions of digital research. Across the semester, participants engage with concrete practices such as preregistration and Registered Reports, the handling of qualitative and sensitive data, and questions of research ethics and integrity in Al-supported research. Further sessions focus on text-oriented digital methods (TEI, digital editions, Transkribus, Al-supported, literature research) as well as Open-Access publishing, including quality assessment, legal and licensing issues, institutional funding instruments, and secondary publication.
All sessions take place online via Zoom, are self-contained and can be attended independently. Workshops are held in either English or German, as indicated in the program. Participation is free of charge.
