Device Name
180 GHz G-band (homebuilt)
Device Variants
G-band EPR Spectrometer

Device Description

180 GHz quasi-optical circuit; heterodyne detection scheme; reflection mode; 7T Teslatron H magnet from Oxford Instruments; cryostat for liquid helium cooling, measuring head: self-built TE011 cavity for 0.4/0.55 mm sample capillary.

Device Application

The areas of application for high-field EPR include the detailed characterization of complex biological systems using g-tensor (CW/pulsed EPR) and pulsed dipole EPR spectroscopy (PELDOR). The system can be used for both liquid and solid-state EPR.
