Device Description
The asmec UNAT is a universal nano‑indentation system for the precise measurement of mechanical properties such as hardness and elastic modulus in the micrometer‑ to nanometer‑scale range. Its modular construction allows integration with optical microscopes or scanning probe microscopes. Tests are carried out with various indenter geometries (Berkovich, spherical, etc.), enabling spatially resolved investigations.
Device Application
Typical applications include the characterization of thin films, microstructures, or graded materials. Evaluation is performed automatically via specialized software compliant with ISO 14577. The UNAT is suitable for both research and industrial quality assurance.
