Device Description
The 800 MHz NMR spectrometer uses a 5 mm TXO cryo 13C [1H, 15N] with Z-GRD and has three independent frequency channels.
Device Application
In addition to standard protein and RNA experiments for mapping and dynamics in biomacromolecules, the spectrometer is used for 13C and 15N direct detection experiments. These also provide signals for rapidly exchangeable functional groups such as amino groups. This is due to the special design of the probe head, in which the heteronuclear coil is located close to the sample to be measured and has a cold preamplifier for both 13C and 15N. The system is used exclusively for liquid NMR.
