Device Description
The FEI Tecnai G2 12 BioTwin is a transmission electron microscope (TEM) designed for high contrast. It is particularly suitable for low-contrast or radiation-sensitive samples and is equipped for cryo-TEM and tomography. The examinations can be carried out by trained users themselves, as the device is easy to learn how to use. The 120 kV device is equipped with a high-contrast pole piece and LaB6 cathode, as well as a side-entry camera (EMSIS Makiya 2.5k x 2.1k CMOS).
Device Application
Due to its high contrast, the device is particularly suitable for examining soft matter samples from biology, medicine, and polymer chemistry.
