Architectural research in the Rhine-Main region – An interview with the spokespersons of the Research Training Group “Organizing Architectures”
The Research Training Group (RTG) “Organizing Architectures” is a highly interdisciplinary and international study and research program that enables multi-perspective work on the tension between architectural production and societal processes.
Founded in November 2024, the joint RTG of Goethe University Frankfurt, Technical University of Darmstadt, the University of Kassel and the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory in Frankfurt cooperates with practical fields such as Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) in Frankfurt.
It has its origins in the LOEWE research cluster “Architectures of Order”, which was funded by the RMU Initiative Funding for Research and completed at the end of 2023.
In our interview, Professor Sybille Frank of Technical University of Darmstadt and Professor Carsten Ruhl of Goethe University Frankfurt explain why the Rhine-Main region is the perfect location, what advantages the RMU alliance offers for their work, and how their work aims to change the way we view our built environment.
The RMU Insights video series:
