Extreme-matter research: The CRC-TRR 211 “Strong-Interaction Matter under Extreme Conditions”
In the transregional Collaborative Research Centre (CRC-TRR 211) “Strong-Interaction Matter under Extreme Conditions”, researchers of Goethe University Frankfurt, Technical University of Darmstadt and Bielefeld University explore the most extreme states of matter and what happens when ordinary matter is heated to extremely high temperatures and subjected to enormous pressure.
In the video interview, co-speaker Professor Guy Moore of TU Darmstadt talks about how the research results of CRC-TRR 211 help understand basic laws of nature and why the Rhine-Main area offers the perfect conditions for CRC-TRR 211, for researchers and students alike.
CRC-TRR 211, which has been funded by the German Research Foundation since 2017 is currently in its third funding period, following another extension in late 2025.
