On Wednesday, 20 May, the second RMU Scholarship Opportunities Fair once again opened its doors on Campus Westend of Goethe University Frankfurt and brought together students, prospective students and representatives from numerous scholarship organizations and foundations from the Rhine-Main region.

From noon to 5 pm, the fair offered numerous possibilities to learn more about scholarship programs, to ask questions and to establish valuable contacts. Around 1,000 visitors attended the fair this year.

A particular highlight on this year’s program was the Alumni Panel “Scholarship, Studies and Starting your Career – first-hand experiences”. Four RMU alumnae spoke openly about their personal experience with scholarships and the application process as well as about the impact such funding had on their life. The contributions clearly showed that scholarships go far beyond financial support: They open up new perspectives, enable valuable encounters and boost one’s self-confidence. Afterwards, the audience had the chance to ask questions and to get individual insights.

Another key feature of the fair was the large variety of funding opportunities available: Ranging From local foundations to almost all large organizations for the promotion of young talent, the offers clearly showed the many different talents and courses of education eligible for support by scholarships. All afternoon, exhibitors and visitors met at the booths for lively discussions.

Once again, the fair also offered participants the opportunity to have their professional profile photos taken, which many students happily did.

In the future, the RMU Scholarship Opportunities Fair will rotate between the partner universities of the RMU alliance and will, in turn, take place at Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Technical University of Darmstadt. The aim is to strengthen scholarship culture in the region in the long-term and to provide students with the best possible opportunities for their personal, academic and professional development.
